Auto Message After Call already handles text messages after calls in two ways. WhatsApp messages go out automatically when a call ends, with Accessibility auto-send pressing Send for you. SMS works differently in the current version. The app opens your phone's SMS app with the caller's number and your SMS template filled in, and you tap Send. The SMS template has its own editor with a character counter that shows when a message will split into two parts. Automatic SMS after call, where the text goes out with no tap, is planned for the next version of the app. Until that version is available on Google Play, the behaviour this page describes as working today is the one-tap SMS. Callers who use WhatsApp already get the automatic message, so most businesses start with WhatsApp and add SMS for callers without it.
